1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MMO Skill Tree ("the Service"), including purchasing licenses or downloading software, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

MMO Skill Tree is a modification ("mod") for Hytale servers that provides skill progression, leveling systems, and related gameplay features. The Service includes:

Free base mod functionality
Optional paid entitlements (Permission Boosts, White Label)
Documentation and support resources

3. License Grant

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

Use the free version of MMO Skill Tree on your Hytale server(s)
Use purchased entitlements on the specific server(s) they are licensed to

You may not:

Redistribute, sell, or sublicense the mod or entitlements
Share entitlement files or server keys with unauthorized parties
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
Remove or modify any proprietary notices or labels
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

4. Entitlements and Payments

4.1 Purchases

Paid entitlements are processed through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.

4.2 Pricing

All prices displayed are exclusive of applicable taxes (VAT, sales tax, etc.) unless otherwise indicated. Taxes will be calculated and added at checkout based on your location. Prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Any price changes will not affect existing purchases or active subscriptions until renewal.

4.3 Subscriptions and Expiration

Subscription entitlements (monthly, yearly) will automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time through your account dashboard or by contacting support.

What happens when you cancel or don't renew:

White Label Monthly: ALL features expire (both custom branding AND Permission Boosts)
White Label Yearly: Custom branding expires, but Permission Boosts are LIFETIME and remain active forever
Lifetime purchases: Never expire
Standalone Permission Boosts: Never expire (one-time purchase)

4.4 Refunds

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support within 14 days of purchase if you experience technical issues preventing use of the Service. Lifetime purchases are generally non-refundable after 30 days.

4.5 Server Binding

Entitlements are bound to a specific server fingerprint. If you migrate to new hardware, you may update your fingerprint through your account dashboard. Abuse of this feature (e.g., sharing entitlements across multiple servers) may result in license revocation without refund.

5. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. You agree to:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Keep your server keys and entitlement files secure
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

6. Intellectual Property

MMO Skill Tree, including all code, documentation, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by the developer and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. The White Label entitlement allows you to add custom branding to the mod interface but does not transfer any intellectual property rights.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPATIBLE WITH ALL SERVER CONFIGURATIONS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately. Sections regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability survive termination.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
